Do we have any replacement for the user list macro or simply don't use it anymore ?

Yes. We developed another macro called Secured User List Macro (SUL) for inbox User List macro replacement. It has the same functionality like inbox user list but it also applies search permissions (what you configure) to the macro. To be brief, it is more secured and convenient to let users use Secured User List macro instead of inbox User List macro.
